The On the Media podcast dedicated an episode to this show and Chinese sci‑fi in general. I didn’t even know that was a thing, so I decided to check it out.
It’s a solid show. Not too nerdy, but still intellectually engaging. Some actors, like Marlo Kelly, are a perfect fit for their roles. I’m looking forward to season two, which is in production now and expected to air sometime this year.
Someone also told me the book is much better, but my reading queue is too large at the moment.
