So I tried Omarchy yesterday, and what a hot pile of garbage it is! This horrible experience confirmed my belief that no web dev should touch Linux, it’ll only lead to bloat and a ton of bugs.
I really liked Hyprland, though, so I decided to give it a go on a fresh Arch install. Carefully reading through all the documentation was a pleasure, both the Arch Wiki and Hyprland Wiki are excellent.
It’s actually the first Linux setup where fonts not only match Mac but exceed it, probably because I have a 4K 13-inch monitor, which has a higher pixel density than Apple’s displays.
I’m pretty happy with my fresh Arch + Hyprland setup so far, let’s see if it’ll stand the test of time.
