I’ve used a French press for years, it’s cheap, simple, and makes a solid cup of coffee. Honestly, it’s the easiest way to brew something decent. But lately, I’m getting a little bored with the same style, so I’m thinking about trying something new.
Espresso is the holy grail of coffee. It’s what most cafes sell, since drinks like cappuccino, latte, and americano are all basically just espresso in disguise.
The problem is, espresso is tricky to make. You need expensive, bulky equipment, which makes it pretty impractical for home brewing.
At least, that’s what I thought, until someone showed me manual espresso makers like Flair. Turns out you can actually make café-quality espresso at home with one of these simple, affordable gadgets.
I just ordered one, so I’ll be back soon with how it goes.
